His legacy will comprise a tissue of lies, mendacity, cheating and, worse of all, an inability to see the truth as it is and not as he wishes it to be.

Hello,
(ANS) Tony Blair already has his legacy but it may NOT be the one he wanted though.
His legacy will be the disaster that is Iraq, the disaster of the UK education system, the mess he is leaving behined him in the NHS which is falling apart at the seams. And the continued battle with terrorism & Islamic fundamentalism.
Blairs legacy will be ALL the things he didnt expect!!
The sooner he goes the better, good bye to a hated prime minister, as bad as Thatcher. Cannot wait to see the back of him, it will be a huge relief when he's gone.
PS: Lets hope Brown can cope with the mess he's going to be faced with.

Yes like it or not. I think that Tony Blair has unwittingly opened other wise closed eyes of nations as to the power of Islamic extremists both here and in most countries around the world. Like a sleeping tiger being awoken.
He has done us a favour in one sense, as now we are forewarned of potential disasters. On the other hand his intervention in Iraq has fuelled Islamic radicalism to such an extent that it has become frightening.
So his legacy surely will be one of awakening.

All the Muslims are going to celebrate the day he leaves. They will demand the Crosses be removed from the Flags as thay insult Islam and represent the Crusades. They will demand more money for Mosques. They will want more money for Islamic schools and the institutionalization of Sharia Law. Tony the Tigers legacy will be that he was the Last Brit that saw the truth.

Tell the Police everything you know about his dodgy deals - with a bit of luck his legacy will be a jail sentence.

The legacy that he wants and the legacy that we'll be stuck with are two very different things.

I can't speak for Brits, but Blair will have his legacy here in America. I'll never forget how energetic he was in building the coalition of the willing for our War on Terror.
That's the kind of friend a country needs.
