"W"hy does "respectively" applauding for a person with a 28% job approval rating send conflicting messages-The private sector would send him packing??

Not true. The private sector doesn't care about popularity ratings, and they don't listen to the media.

They look at the bottom line. Unemployment rates, GDP rates, economic growth, tax rates, inflation rates, home ownership rates, interest rates, wage growth --- these sorts of mundane things that the media doesn't wish to discuss.

Enjoy it while it's good. After 2008, you'll understand why we "older" folks were so frustrated with the Carter Administration.

Conflicting messages are rampant in this system that we have here and are hard to swim through even for the most battle hardened political observers at times----- A lot of this is centered around the FACT that in America-- the offices that these people serve in are an object of " Expected Respect" and so -- legislators as well as the general citizenry are taught to "show respect" to the "office" at the appropriate times and places !!
The CONFLICT comes in when the person IN that office is doing a dirt poor job at it -- and people are still somehow "bound" to this "show respect" thing--- and THAT is where the "Signals" get confusing for a great deal of people--- even the citizens themselves-- let alone the others around the world that have a tendency to see these displays of "respect for the office" as some kind of "vote of confidence in what is being done IN that office " !!!

It's good that the world at large knows that this country IS rock solid into its resolve on such things as our unity against our enemies and those who would harm us----- BUT--- at the same time-- it would be good to get the message across to them that in THIS COUNTRY--- we have the right to definately stand against the policies and procedures USED by the ones IN those offices and have varying views on how things should be being done regardless of how they are BEING DONE !! And, hopefully will proceed to SHOW that discontent at the appropriate times and places as well !!!!

Null and Void. Impeachable by the public but we are so respectful of him. I know that having a great dad goes a long way. I know Osama didn't keep the dress --- but he ruined this Presdient Legacy in the end. The next President we hope will not be so impulsive..

President is appointed by people for only four years. The contract is renewed for another four years. Now he is going.
