Lets put it this way ~ it makes sound WAVES, and even if you were deaf, if the tree was LARGE enough, the sound waves could knock you over.

Your question answers itself!
If it couldn't make a noise just because a human observer were lacking, the logic conclusion is that it also couldn't fall without an observer! Right!
Since it fell--it is found in a horizontal position with perhaps a stump remaining--the observance of this fact makes sure of the other also happening--noise was generated but perhaps not heard by human ears.

Yes and no. Reason will tell you that it has no choice but to make a sound as it crashes because of the forces of nature that are put on that tree. Yet, if there is no one around to hear the sound then there is no sound to hear because no one is around. If we are the place where essences reveal themselves to us, as Heidegger would say, then we need to be there for the essence to reveal itself. Some philosophers would say that the forest does not even exist unless someone is there for it to be seen to. See link below for more.

No.
Noise is the perception of vibrations in the air by a living creature (that is, in this case, a human). If there is no human to detect the vibrations, they are just ... vibrations.
In order for the there to be "noise", some person has to hear it.
So no, that old tree definitely made some fierce vibrations in the woods, but no "noise."

If it knows itself - then yes.
A tree has lived a life too.
If you clap and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise?
Yes, experience has taught you that.
Experience vs recognition
I choose experience.

Yes. If it did not make a noise because no one was around to here it, then it would not be there because no one would be around to see it.

Yes.
A sound wave exists, though it is inaudible to anyone's ear at that moment. Whether or not it exists to a person is only a perception, when the fact is that the sound occurred.

yes. just cos noone heard the thud doesn't mean it didnt make one. if noone saw it does that mean it didn't fall? and if noone can see the forest does that mean it isn't actually there either? things do actually exist outside what you can currently experience with your senses...
