i LOVE snow patrol, i think their music is GREAT!!! ; )

I love Snow Patrol.
Especially: Chasing Cars, You're All I Have, Run, and You Could Be Happy.
So, I wouldn't say their just plain old tripe. They've got an interesting sound. Nothing earth shattering, but good stuff.

Gary Lightbody Vocals and Guitar is Irish
Nathan Connolly - Guitar and Backing Vocals is Irish
Paul Wilson- Bass and Backing Vocals is Scottish
Tom Simpson - Samples and Keys is Scottish
Jonny Quinn - Drums is Irish
Although the band was actually formed in Dundee during their university days in the mid nineties, non of the original 3 members are actually from Scotland.
Gary Lightbody, Jonny Quinn & Mark McClelland are all from Bangor in Northern Ireland but lived/live in Glasgow and fast became heroes in the Glasgow Music Scene. In 2002 the 3-piece was joined by a second guitarist Nathan Connolly from Belfast.
After the departure of Mark in 2005 SP added Scot Paul Wilson on Bass and longtime collaborator Tom Simpson (Scottish)

I am Irish but I live in Australia and I did not know snow Patrol were also Irish.
Aside from that they are the best group I have heard for a long time. They are simply great.

Well now I know I'm old, I thought Snow Patrol were American, but were ever there from their not too bad.

They're great. They are my favourite band at the moment. It's hard not to like them with all the great songs they produce.

i wouldnt say they are the best, because ive got a thing for the killers at the moment but i do think they are good, and i do have their album

only know the one "chasing cars" and love that. if the rest are as good then i have 2 say GOOD
