Ive always wanted to see what other people thought about the future....and things that people are almost positive will happen.....well one thing I don't believe is that we will be flying around in little cars like the jetsons, and I really dont think marijauna will ever be legalized...sorry....A couple of things I do think will happen, is that everything will go plugless and even batteryless. No need for 6 outlets in every room in a house anymore, simply everything will be powered my a main source situated somewhere in the house. No more worrying about 7 cables being plugged into one outlet. Some how some way, it WILL be wireless. How hard can it be? The internet does it, remote controls do it from the tv to the remote? I beleive this will happen, if you know why this won't please....prove me wrong. Also, i think there will be a black president before a female president, and 20 years from now, there will be no "home" phone....cell phones will be the base of communication.

Cell phones:
Actually several of my friends already use their cells as the primary phone and don't bother with a home phone. Actually I'd probably do the same except I use DSL which requires the line anyway.

Transportable Electricity: Actually this was something that Nikola Tesla was working on (you know the guy that gave us Alternating Current who was competing against Thomas Edison's Direct Current). He believed it was feasible to transfer the energy directly to the appliances, but also transfer electricity from power plants directly to the substations without requiring any wires. There are a few people trying to work on where he quit (he apparently had solved the problem).

If you really want to warp your brain about what the future holds, read about quantum mechanics in regards to "entanglement".

Or if you want to write me via my profile, feel free and I'll give you some information about what is being developed there.

Side effects of quitting marijauna and similar weeds are terrible. I was an marijauna addict. I started coughing up stuff from my lungs. It wasn't very nice, but the docter told me it was normal. My lungs were getting rid of the crap from the nicotine!

To close down the side effects and for a proper guidance, I followed these guys at http://QuitMarijauna.DrHealthExpert.com and WOW, the entire process went super smoothly and finally I have got rid of this addiction of mine.

I am super happy now. You too can follow the same path my mate.. Best Luck

arh! Can think of loads of things. TV these days has put so many things into my wee head.
Things that may happen and things that may not.
I suggest you research Nostrademus.
Contact Arthur C. Clark in Sri Lanka (author of futuristic-space voyagish stories)
And learn how to read a crystal ball.
Also....... palmistry and astrology may help you learn about other peoples lives.
Also speak to Greenpeace coz they know a lot about global warming and animal extinction.
Bill Gates should know a thing or two about the IT side.
;)
anything is possible at the rate technology is developing and human desires increasing and enviroment is depleting.
Good luck on gathering da ideas man!

You are not truly clairvoyant, simply using your common sense to speculate intelligently about how it might be. Arthur C Clarke, Jules Verne and others have done this well in the past. Some things they get dead right (e.g. modern G3 mobile phones are remarkably similar to Clarke's "minisec" devices). Others they get way wrong (like where are all the robots in our homes that people in 1970 thought we'd have by 2000?). Good luck, have fun, but don't take yourself too seriously, please.

I think we will have mostly hybrid cars. I believe bad rap and bad country music will all but get rid of rock. I believe satellite radio will be in most cars. I believe that auto racing will be big in this country. HDTV only broadcast. Large TVs that weigh a few pounds in everyone house. Your a real genius! Most of that stuff has happened already! Let me guess you went to the Consumer electronics show? Do we even have to mention the Presidential race?
