Maybe in your eyes. You won't be saying that if one of these retards that Reid has released early attacks, assualts, robs, rapes or even kills you or someone close to you!!!!

Reid thinks this is a brilliant idea because he knows that he, nor his family, will NEVER be a victim of crime thanks to the police protection that he has 24/7. He knew months ago that the prisons were going to be full and yet he did nothing!!!! Unused army barracks still lie unused as do the prison ships!!!

If any of these criminals that are released do go on to commit further more serious crimes I strongly suggest that those victims personally sue Blair, Brown, Blunkett, Jug ears Clarke and Reid!

'Scuse me? Isn't this the same John Reid who's appointed task is to ensure that as many offenders as possible are imprisoned? "Tough on Crime, tough on the causes of Crime", ring any bells?
This government has overseen the introduction of rafts of new laws that carry custodial sentences, and has had a series of Home Secretaries, up to and including John Reid, who have all encouraged Judges to imprison people. Indeed they have tried to ensure harsher sentencing to the extent that lawyers and judges were close to a state of open revolt against the government, only a year or two ago.
He is reaping the rewards of his own actions, and needs to build more prisons, just to ensure his own "sentencing guidelines" are capable of being carried out.
No, he isn't brave, or praiseworthy, he is a fool, and so are his colleagues in the Home Office for failing to rein in their over enthusiastic boss, Blair.

Labour should have seen this coming long ago and started a prison building program. You can't expect millions of immigrants to come into the U.K and then expect the prison levels to remain the same. It's typical of politicians to let every country, that asks, join the E.U and pick up the pieces later. It is a total shambles that it has got to this state.

Please support your apartheid claims Kermit? Look, everyone has an opinion and Reid obviously thinks the Aussies take it to far, the question is would he rather have a winning team with good pr or a losing team with great pr? Yes Watson and Johnson need to curb it, but Mike Hussey is a great guy, so is Ben Hhaus and Nathan Hauritz

If the prison life was a bit harder instead of being like a holiday camp then perhaps fewer prisoners would re-affend.My 18 year old son was sent to Liverpool prison for non payment of fines and he was terrified but when he came out he told me it would not bother him if he was ever sent there again,to quote him "it was a piece of piss"!!!!!!!!!!!

MP's make lots of promises but very few are kept. Sometimes things appear a good idea in theory but dont work on a practical level. We shall see! I wouldnt want his job though, thats for sure.

He is one part of a Troupe of Clowns - and is not worth paying in brass washers.
How come this clown is suggesting splitting his department into two to make it more manageable, when Customs and Inland Revenue have just been merged - to make them more manageable - you couldn't make it up!
If it wasn't so serious it would be laughable - God help us!

No. Why should we?

He's wanting to foist criminals on us because there's not enough prison space. What sort of deluded lunatic would praise that?
