I am bi-polar and a little off the wall - people use this against me. Saying the stuff I say is wrong cos I am nuts etc.

That is horrible i'm so sorry they shouldnt do that, that is so wrong. you should do something about this. stand up and tell them you've bipolar which makes you depressed but does that does not make you nuts and it definitely doesnt make you any less smarter than they are. well you can state that better yourself but it will shut them up

Yes, you know it is wrong too! My mom loves to mention my "condition" when I am overwhelmed by anything. I am a first year teacher in an urban area, a full time student, in therapy, travel in traffic 3 hours a day. That is a lot for anyone!! Not many people I know can handle that pressure; not even so-called normal people. My point is you have to tell them with much confidence that you are okay!! What you think is valuable and valid. What you do in your life is important. So what if you are eccentric!! I know many people who like this about me. Yes, some are ******* and divulging any part of yourself can come back to haunt you. So just be careful who you partner with. I find most people are accepting and they just know not to call me crazy. Good luck

Yeah , but then we are all nuts to some extent or anouther. Hey, the Earth is Bi-Polar.

I think you should just learn to control your self - every step you made and you'll end up making your bi-polar an advantage :)
