Yes.
BUT 1. The Gospels of Luke and Matthew give two different genealogies, which, as they go through Joseph, are both invalid for anyone believing in the virgin birth;
2. If we believe instead that he was a Galilean, he was probably not a Jew in Old Testament terms, as the Galileans had been Gentiles, forcibly converted to Judaism by the Hasmonean kings;
3. the old story that Jesus' father was actually a Roman soldier named Panthera has the name at least for support: a tombstone was dug up in Germany a few years ago, and the man's unit had also been in Judaea at the right time.

Is the Pope Catholic? Of course Jesus was a Jew. He engaged in Jewish religious practices his whole life, and was sometimes referred to by his followers as "rabbi." The Last Supper he had with his disciples was a celebration of the traditional Jewish Passover Seder.
As for the idea that Jesus "became" something different, i.e., a "Christian," that is belied by the fact that his followers had to have a conference in 50 AD, the Council of Jerusalem, to decide whether or not you could even be a Christian without being a Jew. James, one of Jesus's disciples, insisted that you had to be circumcised and observe Mosaic Law, in other words, you had to be a Jew. Paul, on the other hand, argued that this was not necessary. Paul's view won out.

Yes, Jesus was born to Jewish parents, making him a Jew. It's debatable whether he continued to be a Jew though: some would argue that he has to be described as a Christian, since he recognised the divinity of Christ (i.e. himself).

Joshu, the live man from whom the whole fiction-Jesus arose was a Jew---The answer to your question is Yes.
In those days Jews were the true worshippers of the Creator. In deed, in practice, in every way. They were spiritually the true nobility.

Yes, he was Jewish, born of the line of Judah through both mother and father (although Jewishness comes through the female line). His geneaology is written in the first book of Matthew.
He was a descendant of King David. And if you are interested in pursuing it, that should be enough guidance to get you started on your research.
