I will say Indian team. Although they are not in the greatest of form now. But the only team who has given trouble to australia is India. The last team to Beat australia in a test series is India. Sharne warne has never been successful against India and they are having players like Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Ganguly,Dhoni,Laxman,Kumble and these are very big names.

Hey...
It's tough to beat Australia, but i think Sri Lanka can beat Australia. Considering they have a really good top order and some good young guns in good form. True, they couldn't beat the New Zealanders, but i think if they can get off to a great start via the openers (Sanath and Tharanga), then they can set a good platform for their bowlers: Vass, Murali and even Lasith Malinga to keep them tight.
It's tough but not impossible... considering sri lanka have made a 200 plus run stand for the 1st wicket against Australia IN Australia! But, you never know

Whilst teams may win individual matches against Australia no team at present can beat Australia in a series as they are just too good.
As international umpires are now used results are more predictable.

on a given day any team can beat them, as we have seen in case of Bangladesh beating them last year, but on consistant level, i think it is a bit tricky. South Africa could be a very interesting contestant and so is Newzeland. The reason i mentioned Kiwis is although they dont have strongest team at the moment, they play against australia with same aggression as seen in pak-india matches. BUT in the current circumstances, the team which is most likely to give toughest time to Aussies is Srilanka coz of their current form. so it is my pick - Sri Lanka

well the aussies atm what can you say, in form or what. how about mike hussey, under the pressure keep pulling australia to victory time and time again. clarky and gilly making runs.
i would say NZ or the windies. NZ have a really strong batting line-up when there injury free.. mcallum, oram, styris, mcmillan, taylor and before you know it there 250 on the board to chase.
the windies have been in good form since the champions trophy winning afew matches. lara's troops are making big scores with chris gayle smashing bowling attacks all around the park with legend brian lara, sarwan, hinds, samuels to follow making runs too and they ahve a good bowling attack to knock sides over quickly.
i would also back the indians and paki's on home soil, their practically unbeatable at home.

The way New Zealand is playing now, I would bet on them
beating Australia (if any one does)
Reasons; mainly, the bowlers and the fielding is very tight.

none....Australia are too strong.......if they lose to anyone it would be cause they were having a bad day...not because their opponents were a better side
