There are lots of ways to write a good CV (curriculum vitae), but the most important thing to remember is that you're actually trying to create an advert, selling yourself. The best ads are always tailored to their particular market: your CV should be customised for individual job applications.

There are some very good tips on the "Personal & Finance Confidential" website (link below): the advisor there divides his/her method into a four-stage approach.

Make a PROMISE
Paint a PICTURE
PROVE your claims
PUSH them to contact you

Follow the link for the full explanation.

And good luck with the job hunt!

If you are still asking at this point, it means you didnt like the form resumes of most word processors, because every body knows about those.

I suppose that a few get really impressed by the showy, and attractive resumes done up by professional (I must add commercial) makers who charge you 15 for a basic -30 to 50 dollars for an impressive resume which stretches the truth to the max, of you and your experience and abilities.

There will be some in your area so just ask around.Saves you the time to prepare and edit anyway.

you could try using on of the templates on Microsoft word for the layout. Google "sample cv's" in a search engine and you should get some examples that will give you and idea of the information you should include.
