Depends on the region you live in, temps and rainfall can vary by area. In my zone 7-8 garden: lantanas, salvias, daylilies, red yuccas, dusty miller, and rosemary grow well on the south and west sides of my house. For shrubs I like crape myrtles, oleander, butterfly bushes, hollies(with a little watering), Tx. mountain laurels, and flowering quince. Many of the herbs would do well in a dry sunny location, even vegetables!

Chrysanthemum,Hens and chicken and irises. Once these are planted they will come up every year. These plants If to big for a certain space can be divided to make new ones. Just think, you won't have to buy plants. These are the ones I have and some are 10 years old

Once established, ornamental grasses, lavender and any of the sedums will tolerate sunny, hot and dry conditions.

Lots; roses, zinnias, gerbera daisies, asters, coreposis, cosmos, mandavilla, clematis, hawthorn, lilies, iris, on and on, anything that takes full sun. There are many.
