Basically.. I was friends with this girl for years... since I was about 18/19 years old.. (I'm now 23) and we weren't really really close or anything.. we both had our own lives and friends etc.. But because we share some of the same interests.. we'd meet up now and then and do things.. we've been to two music festivals last year and all sorts.. didn't hear from her for a few weeks.. but sometimes that happens so didn't think anything of it.. until another one of my friends told me they had ran into her on a night out and she'd said that we had fallen out with eachother and that I was a b!tch and she wasn't going to speak to me and I couldn't understand where it came from.. I text her asking what was going on and what her problem was and that if she had fallen out with me fine.. but didn't want to hear it from other people.. She had also been to my best friend the other week and tried to cause friction between us both to make us fall out.. but thankfully.. she didn't succeed... I mean.. I'd understand if I'd done something to her and she was trying to get revenge... but there's nothing....

Deep down I just want to get on with it and ignore her as it just seems like childish hoohah

What would you do?

yes that is VERY childish. she is not a true friend. stay with your best friend. she IS a true friend! stay away from the other one. when that subject comes up just tell them the truth. what happend and you don't know why, just like what i read here in your question. friends are a dime a dozen but good friends are what makes life worth living!

What is this girls problem ? has a mutual friend been stirring up trouble ,i would ask her what i done wrong and if she dont tell you sod her ,just draw a line under it and move on ,sometimes friendships fizzle out on there own accord ,she hasnt got the guts to tell you face to face its not as if you were best buddies anyhow ,forget her ,she needs a slap ,best wishes xxx

Forget her as a friend...she obviously isn't a good one. It is upsetting isn't it when you think you have a trustworthy friend and then something like this happens. Your true friend stood by you, thankfully.

I would just steer well clear of this other girl.

Best wishes

Honey, in my opinion, it's jealousy of some sort. I had a "friend" do this to me awhile back. If I were you I'd just let it go. There are better people out there! :-)

Ignore her. That usually winds people up good style. Don't let her know it's getting to you.
