The place that I am currently working now is showing favoritism. My boss has his nephew working and he gets to leave whenever he wants and takes drugs while on the job. The co-manager is also cool with the top manager, and she gets to smoke weed on her breaks while at work also. When it comes to me or any other workers we get for things like not coming in to work on time or if an important event comes up and have to be off that day. I just want to know if something can be done, because that is not fair. Right now I'm looking for another job, but I just wanna know if I can sue or something like that.

The boss also knows about this.

Anyone can basically sue anyone for any reason; however, that does not mean you can win or your case won't be thrown out of Court if the judge does not deem that it has any merits.

If the person that is over your boss is aware of it and permits it, then you are doing the best thing by trying to find another job. If you really want to go down the path of a suit, you need to start documenting who did what and when in a notebook for a cause that is probably lost unless you can prove the discrimination is based on your race, religion, nationality or sexual preference, or you are in a protected age bracket (over 40 or 50).

A illegal activity is going on where you work, you could call Crimestoppers in your area and file an anonymous tip with the police about the activity; your identity is protected and in some cases there may even be a payout. If the co-workers are arrested by the police and busted with the illegal goods on the premesis, it would increase your credibility if you did try to pursue a suit.

I wouldn't sue, I would call the police, crime stoppers, whatever and get the place raided. Of course that is the mean and nasty thing to do.
