No, the hard truth of it (and a big secret to everyone in the BBC) is that Barbara Windsor retired three years ago. At the time, ratings were so low that they all had a meeting and decided to keep her. The character "Peggy" is a mix of past appearances, computer CGI graphics and a large puppet made by Fluck and Law (The spitting image creators). Everyone has all been sworn to secrecy at the BBC and if anyone ever found out it sounds so ridiculous that no-one would believe it.

No, shes like a vampire and if the sunlight touches her she'll turn to dust!!!! Thats why the Vic always looks a bit musty / dusty - because when the sunlight comes in through the (grimey!) she starts to fall apart haha!!

saw her outside the vic when she first met Honey's dad (a couple of weeks ago on aussie tv, we're a bit behind) , when they had their little altercation as his jeep was blocking a delivery truck. memorable moments.... actually have seen her out a couple of times with him in the square...must be love... do they ever get together?

last night she was seen for about a minute, before she went back in. It might have something to do with the fact that shes so small, and when shes behind the bar she stands on a box to make her look a little taller.

Insurers wont let her outside in case her wig blows off and causes harm to another cast member - The risk assessment was quite clear..!!

Yes,Peggy does get seen outdoors,but not on windy day's,as her wig may blow away.

Yes she does go outside, she was outside in last night’s episode, but she does seem to have most of her scenes inside. But considering how cold it’s been I’m not surprised.
