1) arya "all but" forgot to call up her real estate agent.
i think "all but" kinda cancels each other...so the above sentence is the same as saying-- arya forgot to call up her real estate agent.
2) "when push comes to shove", why do u turn yellow?

"All but" means almost. She was distracted, and came very close, but did not completely forget in the end.

"When push comes to shove" means when things get difficult. You push somebody, they shove back... So "When push comes to shove" simply means that point when a situation escalates.

1.all but here means 'almost'
2. the expression means that things are getting worse, and more difficult to manage.
