you can do these by multiplying the whole number by the denominator and then adding the numerator to that answer
8*6=48
48+5=53
so 53/6 is how you would write this as an improper fraction.

we can also check it by dividing it an a calculator
53/6=8.8333333

5/6=.8333333 now add the whole 8 that was in front and its also 8.8333333
showing us that 53/6=8 5/6

It should be 53/6.
The working is like this.
8 times 6 = 48
48 plus 5 = 53
And you must use the dinomenter ( sry for spelling error ) again.

9 times 5 =45
45 plus 8 = 53
And the ans will be 54/9
