He should get a re-trial at least, if the new evidence is as good as it sounds get the poor fellow out of there. My thoughts are free him, however you know the American justice system.

Hey, "Just Me" - in the UK you are INNOCENT until proven GUILTY. Not the other way round!
I don't know all the ins and outs either, but from the bits I have heard and read, I am not convinced that he is guilty.
I hope he gets justice soon, this has been going on too long.

Kenny Ritchie can be released anytime as long as there is a valid reason such as good behaviour, reversal of the decision or pardon.

Well, if he's innocent he shouldn't have been convicted in the first place. But you seem to be saying he is being punished too harshly compared to the sentence he would get in another jurisdiction? Which is it?
