Careful not to point your finger at "liberals:" EVERY American should appreciate the freedoms our wonderful Constitution provides!
The saddest part of politics (especially nowadays) is the truth that when people disagree with each other, the objecting party is branded as "hateful" "crazed" or "unpatriotic." This is not true. I consider myself a centrist and conservatives AND liberals have championed great things over the years. Freeing slaves and giving women the right to vote. Putting mankind on the moon. Shaking a defiant fist in the face of adversity and challenges is what America is all about, man. Republicans (who, for the record, were quite liberal when they emerged in the 1800s) and Democrats are two parties with different philosophies, both serving at very difficult times.
I'm in Baghdad, Iraq right now. I work with conservatives and liberals. Sure they've got different views. Sure they argue at times. But when it gets messy over here, they come together because before politics, we are members of the Armed Forces of America. And our serving overseas is a minor way to show appreciation for the freedoms we have enjoyed at home.
All my best,
-S-

Who's condemning American?? Just because people don't agree with everything the person in the white house says doesn't mean they are condemning America!!!
You need to remember that the liberal along with the republican are America!! We are the ones who vote for who goes into office!! The President will retire from office and It will still be America!! He is just the person we have put in charge of the country for a period of time. Just as the person before him was and the person after him will be.

Yes, we do appreciate the freedom our troops give us everyday!! However, we do have a mind and use it unlike some other groups who dont. We do not condemn America and we love her! America does not = Bush and his administration that has been full of pedophiles, lies, scandals and the dumbing down of America!! Thats what we oppose and the rest of America has spoken when we chose to take over the House and the Senate!! Watch out for 08' when we put it all together!!!

Honest, forthright critique is not necessarily an expression of hatred or condemnation. It can be the sincerest form of patriotism.
I'd classify myself as a conservative, but these days am more willing than ever to hear what ideas might come from across the aisle, since my own party has made a right mess of things in the last few years.
Again: critique does not necessarily equal condemnation.

Just because your one of the 28% percent of people who like ol bushie for some unknown reason, does not give you the right to call the other 72% hateful anti-american libs. The simple fact of the matter is that not everyone is as blind and dumb as you, maybe its your wish for the america that you are currently insulting, but it is not the wish of the majority, so get over it. If you can't get over it then leave. Another simple fact is by speaking out we are using the freedom that American gives US. Maybe you'd be better in communist china, there you can be as blind and dumb as everyone around you, at least that way you willn't stick out so much.

I agree that EVERYBODY should appreciate the freedom that we enjoy here, although many of those freedoms are disappearing. I don't see anything wrong with honest criticism and debate is good, but all the hate filled, name calling anti-American garbage that I read and hear is completely pointless, besides being rude and ignorant.

yes they should, but sadly it seems that neither side in this country loves the country enough to read and learn from history. I believe both parties only love power and will do anything including tear the country down during a war to get it.
I don't believe we have 'the evil party and the stupid party'.
it's clear to me we have 'the evil party and the evil party' to choose from at the polls.

Why just appreciate freedom when you can express it?
Please! Let the little liberals say whatever is on their little minds! That way we'll all know....
