Friends are not chosen like your dress or any other thing. Its just happens when you see a person you will feel a spark inside, and there you are you have found yourself a friend for you..

I think, it is the most tough task for those who search for friends. It is always easy to make friends. If U go round and search for a person who has the qualities and degrees u expect, it will be a cumbersome job to make. But do accept those who are near top you with all your heart with all their flowering thoughts and flowing limitations. It is the gift of God to have a very good friend of you. The other way will be you be the friends to others. Surely you Will get more friends.

To choose a friend, male / female : share the same interests, like / dislike the same things.
Friendship transcends all barriers : e.g Johnathan and David from the Bible.
A good friend stays with you in bad times , as well as in good times.

I don't choose my friends... I'm simply friendly to everyone but If you mean by a friend who you can pour your soul to... then I have some tips...
1.) See if your friend thanks you often or appreciates the nice things youve done
2.)See if she can be trusted... try telling her some small secrets... If she blabs them... then no way
3.) If you're friend listens to you and you problems... then your friend is worth it....

For choosin a true friend 3 things r very important:
1.Character
2.Manner
3.Behaviour
othere than this that person shud be kind,helpful etc etc

if you feel you're in the same boat as that person, like you can be YOU. you feel comfortable haging around that person, say what you want to say and do what you want to do.
you don't need to chose..i think the verb you used is not appropriate for this..hehehe.
