I would have to imagine, that since the Raiders have gone 15 and 49 since 2002, that no owner is envious of the way they are being run.
I would suspect that Norv Turner will end up with the job. However, since only 2 retread coaches (coaches on their second head coaching stint after an unsuccessful coaching job) have been able to win the SuperBowl (Bill Billicheck who coached the Browns and was fired before he coached the Patriots and Mike Shanahan who had a short stint with the Raiders before he led the Broncos to two SuperBowl wins) (There have been other coaches who were successful in multiple places, but neith Wade Phillips, nor Norv Turner fall into the successful Head Coach category) does it really matter who get the job. Unless Jones can convinve Cowher that he really doesn't want to retire, it's gonna be another disappointing time for Cowboy's fans.

I live in Arlington, Tx. The future home of the Cowboys. I can tell you right now that it is definately not going to be Bob Stoops or Jimmy Johnson like everyone seems to think. Our local ESPN radio hosts have already spoken with Jimmy and he said that he has no interest in coming back to coaching, and Stoops has released a statment that he's not leaving Oklahoma. The top canidates that Jerry Jones is looking at right now are Norv Turner, and Wade Phillips.
Obviously Officer Dan is new to football, Norv Turner was the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys during their Superbowl assault in the 90's. He has also be a successful coordinator with Dolphins, Chargers, and 49ers. The statement that he sucks must be steming from your recent knowledge of his head coaching gig with the Raiders, which did in fact suck. But who has done well with the Raiders in recent years, it's a dismal franchise. Anyway, my point is Norv is a good coach, with several rings to back it up.....but hey what do I know?

The cowboys have 2 second string running backs, no offensive line, a cancer at wide receiver, a safety who can't cover people or make a tackle unless he's behind them, and a QB who choked like Saddam Hussein.
It doesn't matter who coaches the Cowboys.

Im willing to throw my money on Wade Phillips. Jones has not shown any favorites but releases a statement saying Wade was the lead canidate. As for that guy above me the Raiders announced their coach yesterday.
