i did not like the way she looked at me, some people think they are so important because they run a church. a few people have left they said they felt they did not belong. it was boring anyway, i wish i had a car i would go somewhere else. their are some very nice people. most are better off than me. I don,t know whether to go back, seems some unchristan things going on like they lock the doors every sunday, thats weird to me.

Pray for them and then proceed to show them real Christian love.

Heap coals of fire on their heads by returning hate with love, it really works, try it!

Maybe she was having a bad hair day..church leaders have a lot to answer for..they can do a lot of damage to people..its called CONTROL..they live off your tithes..be careful..I found a great link a couple of days ago explaining how we are under a new law and not the tithing law of moses etc; I advise you to get out if you feel uncomfortable, or take the issue to ur pastor. If they fob you off then I wud do one ie; find a fellowship that don't impose their personality cult on you. You are the church, let people come to you in true christian love, however, we all have bad days so give it another go, maybe, just maybe God is teaching you something about people? We are all sinners right..the pastor and his wife, and you and I.

It is odd.
My parents have a neighbour who claims to be a devout Christian - at least, he goes to church every Sunday - so you would expect him to be kind and thoughful to others.
Yet he is the most obnoxious, arrogant man. He won't do anything to help his neighbours out - he won't even bring his blind next door neighbour's bin in after the refuse colleection, even though both his and hers bin are left together on the pavement and they have a shared driveway. Anyone with even an iota of consideration would do that.
Do you not have a nice neighbour who drives to another church, that would give you a lift?

If you are not comfortable in your local church then either don't go or move to another. I do not know where you live but there are usually plenty of churches around. Our local Cof E Church was not a very friendly place so I and my family started to go to a local Free Church. They were friendly, sincere and welcoming. The local Cof E ousted the vicar because his daughter was pregnant and horror was not married. This was 35 years ago.

I'm kindof confused as to why this is in the LGBT section. Was she checking you out or something?

What about buses? Most towns have some form of public transportation, could you not use this to go somewhere where you feel more comfortable?

Churches lock the doors because as sad as it is, some people don't have any respect for other's property, nor, apparently, sacred property. Don't read to much into it.

well, all churches are different, so dont give up on them completely! It is kindof weird to lock the doors on a sunday.... Churches really do need to generally be more accepting, and i think some churches really are, it just depends on who sin charge. You really cant take your view of christianity and churches from one or two experiences-Ive definutly learned that!

What do you mean they lock doors? Like at night when everyone leaves? I guess they have to due to vandalism. If there are people there that you like and are nice, go back. Don't let one hag ruin it for you. Unfortunately some Christians are snobs, they almost chased me away until I found a group that I really liked and they were really nice and fun to hang out with.

I once read about an Indian who helped some white settlers find a place to settle. When they got there they said they were going to build a church and that he should come. He looked at them and said You have told me your God is everywhere, and they said yes. He then said then why put him in a building?

If you want to go to church then go and they can just look
If you want to read your bible at home then do so.

You have the freedom to do as you wish with your faith as long as it does not hurt someone.
Be yourself and thats all that matters

Blessed Be

Churches should be welcoming as far as I'm concerned. If you don't feel comfortable there, get out. Remember, your intuition can be telling you something. There are plenty of churches around, try different ones out, you never know!

Bet you could walk to another church if you wanted to, or take a bus, or ask a friend for a ride. Another ZERO on the old sympathy meter.
