As a dealer I sell a lot of Corbin and Mustang seats. Those are definitely the biggest sellers. I like both but Corbin has always gone above and beyond for customer satisfaction.
They have repaired seats free when damaged by the customer. They always are quick to answer my questions and this dedication has earned my thumbs up.
Here you can look at many brands of seats for Harleys. http://www.cyclemartusa.com/shop/browse.htm?shopBy=1721&catalogId=13
I would recommend going to the manufacturers sit (Corbin, Mustang etc) where they have great pics of there products. When you find what you want call Cycle Mart USA to Get 15% off any seat Corbin, Mustang, Saddleman, DannyGray, or Le Para sells. 1-866-204-0942

Although most of the answers I have read are good I suggest you not put too much money in to your Sportster. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you want a bike to tour on, The "Sporty" is not designed for that. On long runs, we have "Sporty" stops so that they can refuel. The Sportster is a great bike, but is commonaly considered an entry level bike in the H.D. lineup. Bottom line, (no pun intended!) Unless you plan on keeping your Sportster for a number of years and do in fact will take it on long runs, save your money towards a larger bike

put a sundowner seat on it. it's hd's best seat. i can ride 400 miles in a day with ease with it. it's a bucket-like touring seat that is very cushiony and is half the price of a mustang seat.

I like Sargent's Cycle in Jacksonville, Fla. They do great custom work ... built what ever you want to fit, and with the materials, colors and textures you choose.
For aftermarket, ready-fit, use J&P and take yer pick.
