Go to Control Panel and click the Power Options icon. Go to the Advanced tab and look down towards the bottom. There's a pull down menu that lets you choose what your computer will do when you push the power button. ^_^V

If you don't feel like changing settings, you can turn it off by HOLDING the off button. It's supposed to restart when you just press it. However, you really should shut down your computer properly, it's better for the computer.

Your not supposed to just hit the off button, your meant to shut it down properly....Your PC is most likely making a protest because your not saying night night or bye bye properly...How would you feel if your off button was hit every time anyone left or went to bed without saying the above LOL
