Is the fortune good only for a specific day as in the day you get it or on the day you open the cookie? Lets say I kept the cookie for a week before I opened it.
If the cookie read you will meet some one, or find a friend, or do something special?

The fortune cookie will bring u 'fortune' on the day u open it. it is the day when u have read ur fortune and the chinese "gods" will "bless" u. so if u kept it for a year and opened the 'fortune' will come to u that day. but if u lost it while u were keeping it and someone millions of year later found it and opened it, than that person will have the 'fortune'. Back in chinese folklore, the fortune was extremel good. so not risking the chance of losing it, the opened it right when they got it.

You MUST open the cookie by midnight on the day it came into your possession or it will lose all of it's fortune properties!

if you do not open the cookie by midnight......it was not meant to be your fortune......you should give the cookie away to the person closest to you....it now becomes their fortune, and they should open it up, before midnight of that same day.....

lol i never thought abou this before ! well everything happends for a reason, you were meant to open it the day you feel like it , so id say it matters when you open it
