As I am fully aware that this would happen, my sleep at night has not been so good and last night was one of the worst. I woke up at 1 and couldn't really get back to sleep till 4AM! I kept having to get up to pee. Tossing and turning in itself is too much of a battle. My stomach is just too much for me to move around that I just chose to stay in one position even if I get uncomfortable. Being constipated, too, doesn't help anything! I wake up my bf to rub my back or massage me or rub lotion or baby powder on me which usually helps, but last night nothing seemed to work. And then I felt bad because he had to wake up early to go to work himself. I was sooooooo tired but I just couldn't get myself to sleep. It's one thing being awake and can't sleep. It's another thing to be tired out of your @$$ and can't sleep. Has anyone out there experienced this during pregnancy and what did u do or tried to do that helped or at least kind of helped to comfort yourself to sleep?

Welcome to the wonderful world of pregnancy!! LOL. During my first pregnancy I experienced this the last weeks of pregnancy and what really helped was having pillows tucked all over my body. One under my stomach, one between my legs, one to prop up my legs and one behind my back. I know it seems like a lot but at babies r us they have these full body pillows that really help and you can laso use it for after the baby is born to nurse or co-sleep. Good luck.

I only have a few more weeks but I'm not delusional enough to think I'll escape this entirely. My biggest problem right now, actually through the whole thing, is being tired but not wanting to go to bed in the first place. For one, since I don't go to bed until really late, I wake up really early, and it seems ridiculous to me to go to bed only 10 hours after I woke up in the first place. Two, my husband has been gone since I was about 15 weeks and I don't work, so there's no reason to go to bed. There's also no schedule to follow, when he's home, I don't get up when he does (5am), but I at least get up early-mid morning and then go to bed when he does.
The discomfort has been a slight issue, especially in the middle of the night when the bladder fills up. I have a body pillow on one side of me so I can sleep on my left side with full body support, and I keep another regular bed pillow by my back in case I need to roll over, and also if try to roll onto my back in my sleep, I'm still at least tilted at an angle and not flat on my back.

Maybe try some herbal tea to relax you like Chamomile tea, that seemed to help me with my first pregnancy... i also have a 'body pillow' its the same as a normal pillow only twice the length so you can lie alongside it and wrap your body around it, so comfy! It has been a godsend with this pregnancy... good luck and just remember, not too long now!
