My father stomach pain for a week, maybe due to eating unperishable stuff last week.. i asked him to see doctor but he doesnt want to, just look depressed and said wait and see. It's no use i know cause the pain won;t go away. I wonder why he look so despondent and unwilling see doctor. I feel rather angry and sad.
How should i persuade him to see doctor? i am thinking of taking a day leave and force him to go with me see doctor, u think is good idea?

Most people are afraid to go to hospital because they don't want to hear bad news, ironically this can from doing something before is too late. I know you are worried, but if your father is a hard minded person probably will never listen. He knows you are worried, mad and even so he do nothing. To try to force him will be of no help. So is time for some female manipulation. Do not fight or he will get defensive, remind him you are his daughter, cry like a baby (even if you have to fake tears) tell him you don't want to lose him, (yes!! make him feel guilty of your pain) cry, kneel and ask him to go. No man can stand to see a woman's tears, and no father can say no to his suffering daughter. Tell him that you'll be there all the time, that he will be OK if you both can stop any medical problem before it gets worst. If that doesn't work then force him, blackmail him or make a deal with him.

If his pain is really bad dial 911.
Or you call his doctor and talk to them.
Really he is an adult and should be able to get himself to the doctor. At a point you can't make him do anything.

If you are that worried about him call the doctor to your house or threaten your father with that unless he goes to the doctor himself.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink . Ask him what has to happen for him to seek medical attention ; then wait until it happens .

hey, my father did that once and we found out that he's got appendicitis.... don't wait .. if he doesn't want to go to the doctor, call 911 and force him to go.
