Well the whole point of being on the shot is so that you won't get pregnant. What makes you so sure you're pregnant? The depo can make your period lighter and in some cases nonexistant so just b/c you haven't gotten one doesn't mean that you are either. If you're still sure you may have taken the test too early. If it's been only a week or two since the time you had sex that made you sure you're pregnant than it hasn't been long enough. Wait til it's been a month and try again. If it's still negative but you're still sure go see a doctor and get a blood test those are way more accurate than the at home variety.

There's no urgency about this. If you are pregnant, you've got a little under 9 months. And by the sounds of it you're still in the eariest of stages. Its not something that right now, your GP need be concerned with yet.
As the GP told my wife, the tests you buy out of a store are so advanced now, they are pretty much just as accurate as the test the doctor will do.
Leave it a week. Take another test.
As was said before, tests can be wrong when negative, but not wrong when positive, because they work on the presence of a particular hormone in your urine.
When you take the next test, take it first thing in the morning when you wake up. It'll be least diluted then and give you the best result. Whether you're on any drug or not shouldn't affect whether your body produces the pregnancy hormone.
Just be a little patient and see what happens.

Depo can cause you to have a false negative on a home test. Home tests check for a hormone that your body normally makes after becoming pregnant, but there are several different hormones. A doctor can use a different test that will check for a different hormone, and a doc can check for physiologic changes in your body. Only a doctor can tell you for sure. If money is an issue, there are clinics EVERYWHERE that offer free pregnancy testing. And some of them are even anonymous.

I had this with my pregnancy it took 2 weeks and a few tests before it came out positive.
The doctor told me that the tests you buy over the counter are as accurate as he could do! He also said that pregnancy tests can give a false negative but not a false positive.
Having said that there are other reasons to miss a period and it would be best if you go and visit the doctor just in case.

Id be shocked if you were whilst on the Depo....its supposed to be near on impossible to get pregnant on that, having said that I was on it myself and it messed up my periods something chronic so I was always wondering if I was pregnant...i never was but after coming off it to conceive, I feel pregnant the very next month. They told me my periods would probably stop altogether on that form of contraception but to be honest my periods just had a mind of their own, and this can sometimes cause us to be suspicious as to whether or not we've fallen pregnant. If you are in any doubt wait another week (or two to be sure) and by then it would DEFINATELY show up if you were. Goodluck

hey, most home pregnancy tests are only 99% accurate and u have to wait at least 7 -10 days after conception. clear blue claims to b effective within 4 but i havent used it. go 2 your gp, or walk in clinic, they can do a blood test for the hormones you produce wen u r pregnant.

See a doctor. If you are pregnant there could be severe complications because of the shot
