Can India go for Genetically modified agriculture seeds now? May be in future?

Even farmers in developed countries like Germany are against Genetically modified seeds.

GM seeds is another form of warfare
and is not for welfare
Heaven forbid their entry into India; till such time as we can gain control over Agriculture in the West and in the countries where GM Seeds are produced.

India is a country of farmers having or will have lees ground to yield, lesser water, lesser approach to technologoies, if we say the farmer work or will work indivisually. I f you have something in mind to favour cooperative then of course.
