The racists will get it and laugh and loosen up and eventually get over it? Or will they just laugh and never get it? What is that called tunnel vision?

I am so sorry for those of you who do not see a sense of humor here? Move on and get over it and stop insulting the people that have a brain and want a little cheer in their lives. Anyone that can only think of a conspiracy to make money on ads is a moron and don't answer my questions anymore please? Do yourself the favor. if you can't be at least a loving kind person with good will at heart please skip over my questions forever, your answers are useless to me now and forever. You have no compassion, you are cold, crass, and rude. Go buy yourself a sense of humor if you can you are so monetary.

I never made any connection between those commercials and racism until I read some earlier Y!A question about it that linked the two. I thought about discrimination but that's as far as I went with it. Nothing about it made me think of race. I really just thought about how cavemen do not exist anymore, were not as intelligent as people today and that it was somewhat funny that they had an intelligent caveman getting angry over it since intelligent cavemen did NOT exist. I honestly do not get a deeper meaning from that commercial as opposed to other things in life that I have seen or heard. I don't think anyone who is a racist is going to change their ways after seeing it.
The other question on here that was about it asked something to the effect of 'Do you think it's racist that the Geico commercials are using cavemen in their ads' I answered with 'I didn't think of that but now I will every time I see it' I was given about a MILLION 'thumbs down' for it and I didn't understand at all way. All I could think of was that other people were being racist and were making a connection between black people and cavemen or something which I DID NOT MAKE until I got the 'thumbs downs'.
Whatever. I don't know what to think about people anymore.

i admire the Geico caveman commercials. yet I purely have one puppy peeve approximately commercials frequently: Turning up the quantity on my television whilst this is already at a comfortable point, purely to get my interest won't make me opt to purchase the product. it will make me hate it! Why are commercials sooo loud?! yet I nevertheless like the Geico caveman classified ads.

I dont believe that every racist will see the commercial. To defuse racism would be like pulling weeds, it would just pop up again, maybe somewhere else in a different form. Unless we were all forced to watch the commercial like clockwork orange, then the very thought of racism would make anyone puke.

You're funny - Geico just has a bunch of imbeciles doing their ads, and those imbecils are too much... well, imbecils to even think of a hidden agenda. Don't be paranoid. Shrieking "racism" for any little thing only makes people feel it and act it - and paranoia like yours fuels racism better than anything else.

The concept is to generate business for a third rate insurance co.
Sort of like the radical liberals - gets your mind off what they are really trying to sell you ..

i agree with FL babe, geico commercials are crass stupidity, designed to appeal to people with only a sixth grade education.

I think it stinks, as does most of Geico commercials. I don't think it has anything to do with race.

it is funny, but as long as government favors one group over another racism will thrive. In America democrats do not think minorities are equal in mental skills so they make laws that discriminate against others.
