Republicans was really not the answer it was just those people that were not right for the country. They had made very bad decisions and lost for their states too many tax dollars by over spending at their commander an chiefs Demands. So they feel differently now that they are out of those jobs. It is called musical chairs in politics. And now we shall see how long these people keep their seats as well. The people still have a say as long as they keep voting them in and out like a revolving door when they are either obsolete or they corrupt? Remember corruption sets in when they are in there too long anyway. Eroding process is inevitable if someone gets complacent in their position and has no one to light the fires of desire for them. And I think this country is finally waking up to the fact it is not the parties it is the individuals and we must keep a balance or we will fail. All democrats may not be that great either but you will see them battle it out amongst themselves too, and soon, once Bush tries to pass those Bills watch the democrats who are on his side play their cards, and then the ones that oppose and then find out why and what interests they have in the process of whether the bills pass or not? Some of them may want to get rich too and they are to be watched always, for power is the most addicting drug in the world, and they can get drunk with power and you have experienced that with Bush, now he is a little more down to earth and we must keep him that way and he might be alright then and become a better leader for this country with their help. But first we must unite for a common cause Freedom and put this country back on its feet. Clear that deficit that is enormous and bring our soldiers home and try applying forgiveness to those who have wronged us, but be prepared for any other attacks, and make sure we lock our borders down good and tight so no more morons get in here to destroy us, and we will stay a good country to govern as the leading power of humanity. Amen Brother

The war in Iraq is the simple answer. We all have our own opinions about if the decision to go into Iraq was a good idea or not but I believe that most voters are swayed by short term results and there is no question that the war is not going well in some ways. It is in the best interest of the country for us to win in Iraq but since there was no early victory the republicans took a hit at the polls .

It happens whenever a President (Republican or Democrat) is half-way through his second term; 6th year. Remember when the country got tired of President Clinton, he lost the Congress too. This pattern is what history has shown us and it will probably continue to remain true. I'm a pretty staunch Republican but I do believe in our democracy and think that the change in parties is overall good for the country.

Yes, they are the best destroying our reputation as a nation and submerging us in a war that we aren't wining, Yes they are the best not doing nothing even when they have the information to stop a bad action that may be done on us, like what happened with the world Trade center where they knew that something was going on since a year before and they did nothing. Yes the best republican president ever, who kept reading a schoolbook after he was told about the attack suffered by the World trade Center. yes the best by not helping the people who suffered and still suffering during and after Katrina's hit. They want to do something good for us? Please pack your things and get the f**k out of Washington and our lives.

Not just a question about votes per party, you have to remember that a lot of people were bribed, others coerced, etcetera. Politics is a messy thing to be caught up in, and a large amount of it goes unheard of by the general public, unless some information is leaked.

That is simple to answer, There are more idiots in this country that think the governemnt owes them than there are hard working people who just want to work and live and be left alone by the government.

What did they lose? And the best thing about this country is that there are both. We could not survive without both parties.
