but sure you can find all that in Egypt , but not in one city

If i had all the money and space like you said i would do this:
First, chose a peice of land near the nile.
Build schools for the children, A Christian school, A Muslim school and finally a mixed school. (For all of the schools i would provide them with a school bus)
I would also make sure there is a Mosque and a Church
I would build wide streets with shops running all the way down the streets that will be open all night to keep the Egyptian culture alive. Near the school i would build houses as well as flats, the flats in Egypt are very good because if someone goes around the town selling fruit and vegetables in his cart, the person can just lower their baskets (with the money in it) and then the man can just put the food in and the person will pull the basket back up again. Egyptian flats are very huge compared to the flats you find here in England. I would leave space for people if they wanted a Garden or a swimming` pool. I would also make sure health facalities are there e.g. doctor's surgery, hospital, lesuire centres etc.. I would allow cars, mini-buses, bikes and carts.
I would ensure that there is a playground for the children and equipment given to them so they can play and stay healthy.
I would install bins and recycling bins in the streets and next to houses/flats so as to prevent litter. And i would hire some people to clean up the streets and empty the bins every week or two.
For jobs i would build: Offices, Surgeries, Healthy centres (e.g. phsyciatrist) etc...
In my city i would not tolerate any discrimantion so whoever does decide to descriminate other people they would be punished by doing a certain amount of hours of community service e.g. picking all rubbish off the floor.
In my city i would have a prison but i would make it small, if you have a big prison it gives your city a bad reputation for high crime and i would make sure that crime won't be happening in my city in the first place. I would build a community centre so every month or so members of the community can come together to discuss what we could to do make this city better..
Final thing is to keep the Egyptian culture alive which is one of the most important things in the society...

I think for any country to be a better place it would need an efficient disciplinary system. Of course this system in Egypt needs a lot of improvement.
Countries which are clean, where people follow the rules and know their rights have a strict system whereby culprits who break the rules are punished on the spot.
This is just human nature that for things to go right, you have a system which enforces laws and rules. If the system is absent for so long, things tend to get chaotic.

My idea of a perfect Egyptian city would be one where all of the buildings are designed with the old style of islamic architecture but have all the modern amenities such as electricity, plumbing, etc built into the designs. Wide streets of course would be the way to go along with traffic lights. And of course non-currupted law enforcement that would see to the population following the traffic laws. SIDEWALKS would be great especially with the cutout corners so you don't have do jump down 5 feet to get back to the street or cross the street. Of course this also implies people will have to actually walk on the sidewalks and not in the streets. Law enforcement may have to make sure that happens as well. I think there could be certain specific raods which are for animals and animal driven carts only so that they do not take up space on the main roads. This also implies they would not be allowed on main roads. That would allow for them to still be able to travers the city though. I also think it would be wise to have city wide trash pickup so that people do not throw garbage in the streets as well as having public trash cans on the sidewalks (Every sdewalk? Every other sidewalk? One every km? Not sure depends on the size of the city i guess). City could be divded into distrcicts of some sort so that each district has garbage pickup once a week on different days for different districts. I also think recycling pickup would be really good and could be collected once a week with the trash. This would reduce the amount of toxic fumes released into the air by people burning plastics and such. A well thoght out transit sytem is of course a must with underground subways being probably the best option. I also think all condo's and buisnesses should have underground parking so that there are no unsightly parking areas and not too much crowding of on street parking. Of course I think there should be worship areas for all religiong not just three. If there were a small bhuddist community I would want them to be able to worship freely, just as I worship freely in my religion. I don't think it should be restricted to just three religions but, I do think there should be respect and tolerance for all religions even if they differ considerably from my own personal religious beliefs. I would not want to deny someone worship even if I don't believe in the way they worship. I think a good city would have multiple building types. It could have multiple story buildings along with houses and villas as long as the layout makes sense. I think buildings should be similar to each other but vary with reason. I wouldn't want the whole city to look excatly the same, block after block but, I wouldn't want it so different that it looks like someone dumped one of each type of house in the world into the city. It would seem like a terrible mismatched hodge-podge. I think once the area has been developed new buildings should be brought before neighbors so that they can all agree on the design. If it were something that was just too different that would look silly in that area they could ask that the design be changed or not allow the building to be built. I would say it should have serveral ppolice precincts with holding cells but also (perhaps on the outskirts of the city in a more isolated area) a prison for those who are in need of long term jailing. I think if everyone could follow the traffic laws there could be cars and also bikes, in fact there could be a specific bike lane just for bikers so that they are less likely to be hit by the cars. I also think a carpool lane would be good so that those who choose to ride with several others in the car on their way to work could have a privalege over those who are riding one to a car. This might help reduce some of the traffic because it would encourage people to ride together meaning less cars on the road. If the transit system is well thought out it would also provide a means of getting somewhere without the cars hopefully reducing traffic. As for the legal system I think it should be free of all descriminations within reason. I think the legal system should be based largely in Islamic law since Egypt is mostly Muslim but, possible have some minor alterations to take into consdieration all of the other types of people who visit and live in Egypt that are not Muslim. Although some of the more excessively violent punsihments (like chopping off a hand for stealing) I think should be lessened to fines, prison time or community service of some sort. Ideally public officals would have to be re-elected every 3-4 years (for 3-4 year terms) and could only serve so many terms (for example 2) in their lifetime. Public services would need to be readily available to the public and additional help for low-income people would be neccessary too. I also would like to see the school system revamped. I don't like how if you do poorly when your young your stuck in a poor position for life unless you can buy your way out. I think there should be mandadtory classes in all subject area taught up untill college and then college options available to anyone assuming they can pass the necessary courses with an average grade. Basicallly simialr to the American school sytem I guess. I myself didn't exactly do well in junior high school but as I grew up I understood the importance of education and I wanted a better position so I went to college and now am getting extremely good grades. People change over time and the school system needs to allow for that.

I think we should have evreything in this city that fulfills and satisfies all of its residence.
Houses or whatever should be built to suit our environment, inspired by the environment, like the old farmers did long time ago but with modern tech. The materials should be from Egyptian soil and made by Egyptian hands, whenever possible.
The Schools will teach no hatred to no one, no discrimination, no racism. schools will teach History as it should be, so as we know who we are, and where are we going, and what we want to be, it will teach us who is our enemy and who shall we be friends with. Not according to political or idealogical or religuous point of view but with very objective view, so that children will know by themselves who's the enemy!
Sure it will be freedom for all! who hates freedom? except the naturally born slaves?

Street and roads planning and continual maintenance.
Building regulations established, monitored and adhered to.
All public buildings and transport" disabled friendly".
Community incentives for the purchase and use of fuel using pollution reduction for methods of private transport.
All public transport would run on the most cost effective and least air polluting fuel.
The city would be built in an area that has close proximity to national highways and international airports.
Medium elevation, close by, but not alongside natural inland waterways.
Geological testing to ensure it has the correct stress level for all building foundation and is not above underground artesian lakes. Or naturally formed features, that would create sinking of foundations and warping of streets and roads etc.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to belong to such a community and be able to say."Yes, that City is my home".

well it doesn't have to be perfect, but people need to be taught how to be clean, follow the rules and of productivity. You can build roads and buildings and etc. but won't help much if the people are dirty and not civilized. I am not trying to be mean, but imagine if you take all the Egyptians to live in Paris and took all the French to live in Egypt, Egypt will be clean and Paris will become dirty. People need to change their bad habits.
