Did it work out or did it go down in flames? Just curious

I am going to remarry my soon to be wife. A few years back things got hard one thing led to another then we were divorced. 6 years later our paths crossed and after going out a few times asked her to marry me. I want you to picture this, I was nervous and sweating bullets. I took her to a local park,got down on my knees and asked her if she would marry me. Without hesitating she said Yes loud enough to get everyone's attention! We are going to get remarried in the same month and on the same day. I've been happy before but, not like this!!!!

I havent remarried my ex but I am back with him. I hope to one day get remarried. So far it is working out. It is weird saying exhusband and boyfriend and talking about the same man. I really need to get a better job before that is even considered. I depend on him too much now like i did before and I am not comfortable with that. Long story short, it can work.

Yes, I have seen a couple remarried again within a year after divorced. Heard that they are getting well now, much better than before. I guess case like this is rare, anyhow, anything can happen. It takes two to tango. Afterall, nothing is wrong when love is right.

actually I have a cousin who remarried his wife after a divorce. they are still married 17 years later
I also have friends who were divorced for 9 years and then remarried, They are still doing well

I know two couples that did that. One worked and one didn't. The one that didn't work the guy is now on his sixth wife and got kids all over the country. The one that did work was marriage divorce and remarriage with no partners in between.

My parents divorced but got back together when my older sister was born. Everything seemed to go alright until about two years ago, they got divorced again. Not saying it's impossible, but old disagreements can still cause a problem.

Yes, actually a lot of couples do that - why? I don't know, I think it's like "bad habit" - you know it's bad, but it's hard to give it up! Usually if they go back to ex, they go through this stage at least once or twice after that again.

yeah i know 2 couples like that. one "went down in flames" as you so colorfully put it, the other couple is still together, and they have mellowed somewhat with age.

my friends mom and dad divorced and remarried and are quite happy.
