Get a violin, a bow, a teacher, some music, and go for it.
It's not as though it takes more than one person to play a violin!
You will be doing it yourself!

Violin players normally start playing at a very young age (5 -6), since it is probably the most difficult instrument to master. You would also need to know how to play the piano because most musicians learn the basics there. I would also love to play violin, but since I'm already 25, I would need to quit my job in order to find enough time to practise. And that is not an option with me.

It depend of course whether you just play lighter music with a band or you want to play with a symphony orchestra. I is difficult to learn to play the violin by yourself from scratch. You would need a good teacher and long hours of practise. I've got a friend who plays the violin for a youth orchestra and he practise 6 hours a day, every day.
