Have any of you had this? I'm currently going through it now...How was your recovery process? What did you do to help the healing

feed the baby as much as possible, and try and angle it so their chin is against the part of your breast that is sore. Have hot showers and massage your breast where it is sore.
Thats all you can do. Take it easy dont run around doing to much.
Just feed and hot showers.

I got sooo sick I thought I was going to DIE! All I could for several day's was lie in bed. The only thing that gave me any comfort was taking a hot shower and warm compresses. When I went to the Dr. they said there was nothing that they could do for me, that I should just wait it out and it would pass and to come back if it changed. This was a couple of years ago, maybe they have something now.

It's very painfull I've had it twice with my first two babies. The best thing to do is to go on nursing and get rid of the extra milk. If you have fever you should consider to consult your doctor for medication. Still you should go on nursing. Good luck

nurse nurse nurse nurse and pump in between. lots of it, adn it will hurt but will help clear it up. in between pumping alternate hot packs and as odd as it sounds, cabbage leaves on the infected area.
i also was on antibiotics, mine ended up being a resistant staph.
