Voter turnout is higher when the public either loves a candidate or hates the incumbent and wants change. Bush's current approval ratings make me think America wants change. If one of the other candidates turns out to be intelligent, charismatic, and full of good ideas for the future, I am hopeful that voter turnout will be very high.

A large political coverage by the media will result in a larger voter turnout. Politics today have been in the public eye more than any year I can remember before. Every one seems to have an opinion these days.

I doubt it. Unless something happens that really screws with more peoples personal lives. But I would like to see a greater turn out, but judging from the past years if the voters that turn out and actually vote is over 40% of the country's eligible voters I will be very surprised.
