In my experience, Fundamentalist Christians tend to believe anyone who are not as they are, are evil. Fundamentalist Muslims seem to have the same belief.
Whereas the average Christian and average Muslim do not believe others are evil, just because they are different.
But guess which ones get all the press coverage when they speak out?

This is the first time in America that the American's really know what it is (Christians) to be hated. You are hated as a Christian by the Muslims for sure. Because you represent everything they hate you are an Infidel to them. But that is not ethnicity that is religion, Color has always been a factor as well, they hate whites and Christians and Jews, Jews and Christians together hate Muslims, and Jews and Christians sometimes hate each other too. But remember one thing all of your life. Jesus was a Jew and a Rabbi and the Christians worship him right? So they are going to hate the Judeo/Christians forever. Because they believe that Ishmael should have ruled and it was Isaac instead, it is a Cain and Abel thing, Cain is Ishmael and Isaac is Abel. Just like that. Simple isn't it? Now as far as hating Muslims? I don't hate them personally but I will not tolerate their arrogance and insolence and terrorism in our country ever. And I will not support anyone that hides behind their religion to kill people, for there is no God in heaven ever that said to kill for him not ever. The ten commandments was given to us and it said"thou shalt not Kill". so all of that is made by mankind and a lie. If they continue to believe in that lie and act inhumane they won't have to wait for God and revelations, the Chinese or someone will conquer them and take their lands because they are so ignorant. Simple as that, don't ever think that we are their demise, no way it is the ones that have no religion that are going to be the aggressors. All in the name of progress and breathing room. Remember if you don't count your blessings and make peace you will lose it all in the end. Amen

People are people and each person is an individual. That having been said, I would be less likely to vote for a muslim if I knew that the person was a muslim in today's day and age. Lets not be foolhardy and think that all people are necessarily good. Lets also admit the religion and ethnicity of the majority of terrorists in the world today. Where are the majority of the suicide bombers from ? What religion are the majority of suicide bombers? I am Christian. I do not believe that makes me a good or bad person, just me. I also do not believe that I must force upon anyone my beliefs. Why are cab drivers of a particular ethnicity and religion trying to impose their beliefs upon us? Why is it that one religion inparticular states that to convert to a different religion makes you worthy of death? As to the person infere upon y this question, Barack Obama, who is he? What does he stand for? What do we really kow about this man? Why did he slap this nation in the face by insisting that he be treated differently when he was sworn into office by refusing to take his oath upon the same book that every other Member of Congress took their Oath upon? Since he did not take his Oath of Office upon the same book every other Member of Congress took their Oath upon, I will not consider him a Member of Congress. Others might, I will not.

It is your actions, not your beliefs, that define you. There are crazy Muslims much like there are Christian extremists who blow up abortion clinics or who start racist organisations. Classifying an entire religion or race off of a few bad seeds is ignorant and dangerous.
Sadly, some people are ignorant and dangerous so they think that all Muslims are bad people who wish to do harm on non-believers. It's not true though.
If I do or do not vote for Obama his religion would not have played a role. His political agenda and voting record will determine my vote.

Good and evil exist in all societies, and religions. Just because a person is a Muslim of Middle or Far East does not mean that they are a bad person. Likewise, just because a person is a Christian of European descent living in the United States does not automatically mean they are a good person.

Religion can effect a persons personality. But, the muslim religion is actually a peacful religion. And Osama Bin Laden as well as Saddheim Heusein did not folow the laws of the religion that the "enforced".

You are quite correct. Being a Muslim does not make you a bad person. This can best be illustrated by the 12 Muslims who are good. Read the Qu'ran and then tell me if this is a peaceful and good religion. I am referring to the portion on Jihad.

Its a waste of time to go behind these religion stuff too much. Religion seems to make life too complex and relations too formal and tense. Whatever one might say good about religion, it simply divides people. Religion becomes toxic waste in the hands of people who believe in names, labels, books and gospels more than themselves and being human.
All bad originates from helplessness and deceit. Helplessness includes poverty, suppression, slavery etc. and deceit is seen in the world in so many forms that they are difficult to be listed here. But basically it is hiding the truth and making people believe in something that is not true, to exploit them. Its time people made some sense out of what they are doing.

Rumors, or just plain ignorance, bad is every where and any where. People are funny, and some just think they are better because some people go by the skin color. Dark skinned is stereo typed as evil, brown as ignorant, yellow smart, and white the best! God is not about religion he's about friendship and fellowship, so dear just live as you should for today and do not worry about ignorance, people want to be ugly and we cant do anything about it!

your question is under the heading of religion. religion is a product of man and is of this world. religion has caused many an unnecessary trauma between all brothers and sisters "in God".
