That is a problem a lot of people have.

You get nervous when you are in a situation that is causing you more stress than you can handle.

Often you get nervous in certain social or interpersonal situations|

There is a reason for that|

It is because the people there are looking down on you and picking on you in a subtle way (not with outright name-calling, but with subtle tones of voices or where they will ignore you at a crucial moment, and tricks like that)|

You don't see this consciously, but the subconscious picks it up|

Learn to identify when this is happening, and that will be your best defense against it|

Look for laughter in the wrong place| Look for people suddenly looking away when you look at them| Look for people's silence and apparent incomprehension when you make a comment| Look to answers to your comments that are given another meaning that makes you look or feel bad when it was not intended that way| Look for all things of that nature|

And look for the *micro-expression|*

The micro-expression reveals what people really think about you|

What that is, is the instantaneous spontaneous look that comes over their faces when they first look at you|

It lasts only a split second|

Then it turns into the fake smile to make you think they like you|

Look for all of the above!

Avoid those people, and hang out with people with whom you feel validated and at peace|

You will notice another thing too|

When you are around people who hold you in contempt, you are somehow always stupid and you don't know why - even though you know you are an intelligent person|

That is what happens when you are in the presence of evil|

Your thinking processes jam|

But when you are with good people, you can talk freely and you come across as someone extremely intelligent|

Anyways, this is what I have learned from my own experience because I have been victimized like this for years|

The truth will give you freedom - and you can kick some butt too!

The bastards will be put in their place - count on it!

One can overcome one's nervousness by forgetting the harm done to by others in the past, forgiving them fully and also forgetting completely any events that you think has happened unfortunate with you. This cannot be done easily unless and until you do meditation after you get self realized from an experienced spiritual teacher.

Look at people who are confident.....observe them and try to be like that. Be sure and slow deep breath when you get nervous.
Never lock your knees when you are nervous. Be prepared for whatever it is that you are doing.
Don't take yourself so seriously.......people don't look at us as close as we do ourselves. Learn to laugh at yourself. When you goof up don't react like it is the end of the world. We all goof up.

Last but not least.......Fake it until you make it
