I've owned both. For the money, I got more home with my condo. However, I had HOA fees and I wasn't able to do anything I wanted with my condo. I had to worry about pests such as ants and had to deal with unexpected noise such as neighbors garage doors opening. On the other hand, my home actually has less privacy then my condo but its more quiet and feels more "free". In general, I enjoyed my times in both. Definite pros and cons with both.

the best thing is no common wall, in a house you will have neighbors, but not that close.
