Iran doesn't immediately pose much of a threat to "the world's peace." What makes you think it does?
Iran certainly has an ugly government and a dangerous strain of Islamic fundamentalism. But if by "posing a threat" you mean that you think Iran's gearing up to invade another country, you're mistaken.
The country has not geared up to make a military strike. Its military spending is about $4.3 billion, about a third of what it was in 1991. (And less than a hundredth of the United States' current military spending and about a fifth of Saudi Arabia's.) Iran doesn't currently have any disputes with other countries that are likely to involve military action.
Overall, Iran poses significantly less of a threat to world peace than China or North Korea, both of which have ongoing disputes with neighboring countries that could spark a war. Pakistan and India are also countries that might break international peace with a large war, since they're both nuclear powers with great enmity for one another.
Pakistan in particular might be worrisome for international peace, since the country as a whole combines a level of Islamic fundamentalism similar to Iran's with an existing nuclear arsenal and massive contributions to nuclear proliferation through Abdul Qadeer Khan's clandestine nuclear-secrets sales network. Fortunately, Pakistan's currently ruled by a U.S.-friendly secular dictator and Khan's network no longer appears to be functioning. But the country is divided, and if General Pervez Musharraf's government falls there could be chaos. There is a similar but larger possibility with North Korea.

>>isn't Iran making the united states and Europe look pathetic No, With Bush and the united kingdom Labour celebration, towing Eurosheep in the back of them, they'd proved themselves pathetic, lengthy previously they ever grew to change into their eyes in the route of Iran. They make, what's effectivly admitted as a marketing campaign, adversarial to Islam. Bush actual used the note. the finished unhappy failed enrteprise, no longer something more suitable than an attempt to get their fingers on Iraq's oil, and a christian foothold interior the midsection east.

I feel that Americans do not want to admit it. Their past behavior has been to ignore growing dangers until it slaps them in the face. The people of the USA will ignore IRAN until a nuke goes off. Prior to the IRAQ invasion, the USA may have responded to a nuke going off in Tel Aviv, but now, I think it would take a nuke going off inside the USA to get the attention of the American people. If Iran is smart, and does not get stopped prior to its getting a nuke, it will use the nuke on Tel Aviv and bet the USA will do nothing. (Israel on the other hand, will turn Iran into a glass bottom lake, but that is another issue.)

are they a threat... clearly...
but to what degree?
is N. Korea more of a threat?
are terrorists more of a threat? (which has something to do with Iran, but is clearly a problem that is also in many other nations)
so far, Iran hasn't attacked anyone and doesn't really have the military capability (technologically) to attack anyone in nation on nation warfare...
they are almost nothing like Nazi Germany... from means to actions... they talk a big game, like Germany... but don't have the manufacturing, technology, research, manpower or even the leadership to even come close to a germany... and they haven't attacked anyone in national warfare... like Germany did...
geez, N. Korea is closer to a Nazi Germany... and they aren't that close...

Some do, but there are many who do not know where Iran is. You are correct. Iran poses a serious problem for world peace and especially for the Iranian people because it is they who will suffer because of their president's stupid policies and big mouth.

I understand it better than most. I've been studying the region for years. I even gave a speech in high school about the reise of terrorism and its roots. I predicted that the terrorists would stike the U.S. by the year 2000. People laughed at me. Then came 1993 WTC bombing. Just about everything I've been saying about the Mid-East has come true.

They maybe a threat to Israel but, not to the us. Even if they were, going after them so soon after Iraq will cripple our military. This will pose a much greater threat. We may love Israel and all that but, sooner or later were going to have to have them fight their own battles. We have to centralize, re-group, and even lick our wounds.
