About 2 weeks ago i took my car into a shop to have it looked at and fixed because it was over heating. After looking at my car over a 2 days they told me that it was the water pump and thermostat. they fix it and it cost me about 500$ i go pick it up and wasn't even home when it started it agian only this time it was different. On my receipt it says the they test drove my car and everything was ok.(which i assume means there is nothing else wrong with my car)I take it back and they keep it for 3 more days. They then tell me that it is the radiator cap. I go pick it up agian and they tell me they test drove it and everything was ok. I didn't even drive it an hour before it started to do the same thing. i take it back then and they tell me that it is the thermostat. after that repair agian the test drove speech. I had my car no more than 24 hrs and it began to over heat agian. took it back and 3 more days they tell me it has cracked head

Why the heck do you keep taking it back.
Go to a dealership and have then determine what the real problem is. Once you know for sure then shop for the best price to fix it.
Make sure you ask about warranties, etc before you authorize the work.

Holy mackeral...$500.00 for a water pump and thermostat? What are you driving, a Ferrari?

I agree, the dealership may be your best option but no one can say for sure it'll be free to look at it, but it should be cheaper. I would opt for that as part of a full diagnostic check. Also, at this point if your head is cracked, that's like your engine block and that's much more serious than a water pump. Unless they continuously missed that the first time, then more than likely you acquired that by continually driving the over heated car. A large portion of your engine has to be dissasembled for that.

THEY ARE SUCKERING YOU OR THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING......GET AWAY FROM THEM IT WILL ONLY COST YOU MORE WITH WORTHLESS REPAIRS......A CRACKED HEAD MIGHT NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE USE SOME STOP-LEAK THAT'S ALL THAT'S NEEDED....EACH TIME IT OVERHEATS CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL IN THE RADIATOR...PUT IN BAR'S STOP-LEAK OR SOME OTHER & ADD ANTI -FREEZE---DON'T REPLACE THE HEAD---TOO EXPENSIVE & NOT NEEDED........
