i dont have a dog (i wish i still did) but if i still had one, no. dogs will generally eat anything in front of them.
i have bunnies though and i wouldnt even trust them to watch dinner. i had those little baby bunnies on my bed one night and i was eating cereal. i swear one just came right at the bowl in my hands trying to snatch the cereal.

actually, yes.
He only steals bread products and tissues.
One time he was "missing" for a while, and I went to check up on the little devil. I found him under the bed with a box of tissues. He had pulled out most of the box and shredded them.
Another time he stole a whole package of english muffins off the counter, and "buried" them on my bed.
Ask me about the pop-tarts sometime.

Believe it or not my dog CAN be trusted like that. I was told that it's the Chow (the breed, not the food) in him. He may sniff it, he may guard it, and he may drool beside it, but he won't eat any unless it is fed to him. He is one loyal friend.

Absolutely. The Princess would not lower herself to getting her own dinner. She would wait for her lowly servant to cut it into princess-size morsels and serve it to her on her platter.
