A person is only deemed intelligent and wise if he/she is aware of the existence of gray areas to every issue and seek to study the gray areas from different points of view. He or she can only gain respect if he/she is capable of analyzing the gray areas - after viewing all points of views - to determine independently what's the best possible solution to tackle the specific problem without mass pressure, influence, and duress. Any person who can't trust or learn to trust his/her own judgement is incapable of standing up to bullies or peer pressure, and should not expect to gain any respect from others.

People are different; their problems are different, and their cases should deserve to be judged differently - on case by case basis.

Seen the film "Alpha Dog"? It's based on a true story. Frankly, is it morally good, fair and just to give life to such evil youths who grow up to murder some neighbors' kid?

Do what is the right thing for the two of you. As for whether it's a "sin" or not... it depends on your religion and I can't tell you what to believe there. I'm a heathen so I don't think it's a "sin". I think it's a less than positive decision, but one that people are sometimes forced to make. Whatever decision you make, don't let anyone make you feel guilty for it. And abortion does not stop a beating heart if it's done before the heart develops. I hate stupid fallacies like that tripe. When it boils down to it I'm probably pro-choice because of how much I hate the pro-life propaganda machine with it's falsehoods and crappy hocus pocus slogans. It's like a bunch of illiterate Jerry Falwell's made signs... Sorry. That stuff really irks me. Good luck!

Most people make the arguement that an unborn fetus is not a child because it cannot survive on its own outside the mother's womb.

Imagine you are in space. Can you surviv on your own if you are out of the ship and out of your spacesuit? Of course not. But does that make you any less human? Nope.

Mother's decision ended when she decided to have sex. It's a risk involved. You hav sex, you get pregnant. That's what happens you freakin morons.

The only case where there is even a chance of an argument is rape, but even then I feel that the baby should be born and placed for adoption.

As for those people who continually have sex and just don't feel like squeezing out the baby, I think after their 3rd abortion, it would be morally acceptable to sever their genetalia and fallopian tubes to prevent it from happening again because they are OBVIOUSLY TOO IRRESPONSIBLE TO HAVE A KID ANYWAYS, and therefore never will need one in the future.

Trust me, we would be doing society a favor.

If the baby can think, it should be the baby decision. I believe no one want to born with single parent or no parent. But most of the time, we don't have the choice to come to the world. Whether is a Mortal sin or not, it's the baby whole life we are tolding about. Do you think the baby will be grateful if he/she was brought to the world and have to suffer for his/her entire life?

there are lot of debates regarding these issues.Abortion (for me) is mortal sin because this is an act of killing, whether the debate is that an unborn child has a soul or not,its still an act of killing. There are other ways of dealing with all unwanted pregnancy whatever your reason maybe, there are lots of couple who wanted to have children but cannot conceive,I will consider adoption. It is against the law and morality,I should say.

if you look at nature, human beings are the only mammal to have abortion. so i conclude that it is unnatural, first and foremost.

next, abortions have become a common convenience!!
they were supposed to be for a once-in-a-lifetime emergency or very so rare. what?...whenever you feel like it you can just flush a baby down the toilet??!

moral, immoral, what's the difference. if people would learn about important values they would surely be more careful.

and i leave you with a verse from proverbs in the holy bible: "there is away that seems right to a man; that way leads to death and destruction".

It's a womans right. I do not have the right to control your body. Personally, I only think abortion is an option in the case of incest and rape, it was never the mother's choice to get pregnant. Her desion was taken from her in those instances. But at any other time...It is the consequences of your actions.
