but really, is it?

physical appearance catches your attention at first. but in the long run, you get kinda used to how she looks and start looking for something deeper like personality. so yes, appearance does matter but only in the beginning.

Well, physical appearance is important cuz it's THE first thing u usually see. But I think that the spark really comes from the personality and how u "click" with the person. But u should hav a balance of both. For example: if a guy is really good looking but is a jerk, Im not gonna wanna be with him. But if a guy is rely ugly but has a good personality, im PROBABLY not gonna choose him if there are guys that have a good personality AND are good looking. U get wat im saying? If i can talk and laugh comfortably then that's good, but it helps for him 2 be (at least) average looking. Plus, if a girl rely likes u, u are the best looking thing in her eyes :) I hope I could help!

Personality always matter the most, but what really attracts any guy to a girl "before knowing her" is her physical appearance, and if he finds that she doesn't have a nice personality, then he will dump her...

I don't know of too many guys who really go after the big, fat, smelly, hang-flesh girls before they go after a tall, thin blonde. Physical attraction is the Number One starter of relationships, but it takes more that just that. For me, the girl has to be polite, able to use the language without peppering it with expletives and vulgarities, has to know how to use soap and hot water, has to understand where a dollar comes from and has to have some semblance of an intelligence. Lacking these, she's just a good-looking roll in the hay and a memory after that...

Speaking for myself, personality is by far most important. However, physical appearance--both facial and body--is usually the first thing to attract me to someone. If I meet a girl who is extremely attractive but she is stupid, ignorant, full of attitude, etc. then I will want nothing to do with her.
Also, guys tend to like sex more, or at least show this fact more. Since sex is tied to physical attributes, physical attributes are therefore going to be more important and noticed than personality. Many guys don't care how the girl acts as long as they think they have a chance to have sex with them. It's unfortunate but true in many cases.

Well for me , physical appearance really counts. It is what will attract somebody at first look. Besides, I pay attention to face and the hair style. But its my personal view. However with time, other things like personality starts to be counted. things like good manners, behaviour, politeness come inyo account a bit latter. What you must understand is that you "opt" for a girl firstly for her physical appearance., then when you get to know her, you'll appreciate her other qualities.
By the way, You are simply gorgeous.....

um... realistically... when you first see a guy, what do you notice? It isn't personality, that requires talking. Besides, who wants to have to look at someone who isn't attractive to you? Of course, for every person out there, there is someone who finds them attractive. Personality really matters a lot, however the first impression lasts the longest.

Unfortunately it is looks that get you noticed but without personality you will only keep the shallow guy's, but you look cute so you should have no problems getting noticed

To me both appearnace and personality mean me because I don't want to spend time with a ugly person but I also want to spend time with a caring person with humor and not a dumb person who I can't talk to about anything.
