I just bought a Dell 1501.I just received it today.I have it set up for dialup with people pc.I need to know what I need for wireless dsl or broadband internet service.I have my computer all set up for wireless I thought.when I startd my computer it said wireless network connection is not available.With my computer I have 6 months of AOL broadband for free.What equipment do i need for wireless internet service and what or how do i set up dsl or broadband internet service.

You usually have two options for high-speed internet, and that is DSL or cable-modem.

DSL is setup through the phone lines. The problem with DSL is that only certain areas can get the DSL signal. You will have to talk to the phone company and see if your line is available for DSL.

Cable-modem runs through the cable network, so you will have to talk to your cable company about having your high-speed internet set up.

As for the wireless, I do know that sometimes the DSL or cable company will throw in the wireless router for free, other times, you have to pay for it yourself.

As for now, call your phone company and your cable company and see what they offer, and ask them if they throw in a wireless router with the high speed service.

okay, a computer does not provide high speed internet service. You will have to contact your phone or cable company for that. As far as the laptop, sorry you bought a Dell, but... When you get high speed internet, buy a wireless router and it will pretty well work automatically.

there are wireless usb connection such as hubs,or even infaredsand bluetooh usig phones will do. it is just as small as flash disk usb.enough to able you to connect 356+mbps.. or if there's free on, i think you can call AOL rather to find out if hey will give you a tool for it.
