No the ahem.....mechanics of sex is affected by water. It washes away necessaries if you know what I mean. Very uncomfortable.

It was possible that she was afraid of getting drowned. I say that the shower or a tub of shallow water, at a depth below the waist might be okay for water sex, just to get the feeling of wetness, but a large pool or the ocean is not a smart idea for anyone having an orgasm. Yes. She was very smart.

foreplay in water is great but yeah the water does tend to wash away lubrication during intercourse making it pretty uncomfortable
