Sorry but the first two are wrong. Yes you will lose your water if you have a well. You need power to pump the water out of the well !! I grew up having well water, before a storm would hit, we would fill bathtubs , and buckets up with water. To make sure we had water just in case the power went out . But if you have city water who knows . There might be a water main break some were around you ! Call and find out

If you have your own well~YES~it's normal! Because your well's pump is operated by electricity. Really sucks to be in the dark and not have water! We were out 4 days due to an ice storm..Plus NO Heat:(

In what way? If you lost pressure, then that would mean that there is a pump in the supply to give you pressure. If you mean heat, that means you got an electric hot water tank.

If you have your own well, possibly. If you are on a city water supply, no -- unless the city's pumps lose power also.

It is if the pressure for your water is provided by an electric pump. Be it the pump that works from your well or the pump that works from your providers well. It can happen.

i live in Houston. in the last hurricane we lost electricity for 27 hours and had water and gas. the only food we lost was lettuce and ice cream.
