It could be awhile. When they say the baby has "dropped" it just means the baby has descended some into the birth canal. It will probably be another few weeks before the baby decides to come out :) Good luck!

It's impossible to say precisely when your baby will "drop" or descend into your pelvis, because every pregnancy is unique. If this is your first baby, this process, which is also called lightening, is likely to occur several weeks before labor begins, though it may happen later. For subsequent pregnancies, lightening often doesn't occur before labor starts.

You may find that you feel a little different after your baby has dropped. Some pregnancy complaints may get worse, while others may improve. On the one hand, your baby will be taking up more room in your pelvis, so you'll probably find that you have to urinate even more often than before. You may get an uncomfortable feeling of pressure deep in your pelvis, feel increasing discomfort when you walk, and even begin to waddle a bit.

On the other hand, with less pressure on your stomach, you'll be able to eat a little more without feeling uncomfortably full, and if you've been suffering from heartburn, you may get some relief. You'll probably find that breathing feels easier, too.

While lightening isn't a predictor of when labor will start, it is a sign that your body's getting ready. It's normal to feel lightening up to four weeks before your due date. If you feel an increase in pelvic pressure or the sensation that your baby is "pushing down" before then, call your healthcare provider so she can evaluate you for preterm labor.

Generally, first babies drop fairly close to labor. Subsequent babies drop much earlier. (My baby dropped in October, and she wasn't born until January.)

Maybe your friend was wrong, but maybe she wasn't. When the baby drops you may feel more heaviness down low. You may get so there's a lot of space between the top of the abdomen and the breasts.

You can usually tell, yourself, that you feel like you can breathe a little more easily and you just know "the whole business" dropped.

My sister-in-law saw the difference in me when she saw me one day and then the day after the baby dropped. That baby - the October-Dropper - was born at exactly 37 weeks.

you're making a large component. i do no longer think of authentic conservatives think of like this, although. the two the Republican AND Democratic events have been taken over by those with ulterior reasons...it is exactly the reason i'm now no longer a Democrat and owe 0 loyalty to the two of the events in any respect. IMO, a real American Patriot thinks with the form and bill of Rights, and what's terrific for u.s., no longer something of the international. maximum individuals now no longer think of like this and could purely extremely watch television and the only information that they get is from the media... how lots of them actual have study the "Patriot" act or any of the recent expenses popping out of Congress? It takes time, yet preserving your rights do. to answer the question which you asked, you're top. Socialism is strictly that. the hot international Order that Bush Sr. has stated is interior the flexibility of happening and it is the end result. companies that they want around will prevail, and ones that the elite do no longer care approximately won't prevail. The unfavourable get poorer and the wealthy get richer...trickle down concept is purely BS.

Yes your baby probably has dropped. Which means the baby is engaging itself in the birth canal ready to enter this world. Usually if you can put 4 fingers above her stomache just below her cleavage it is a definite sign the baby has dropped considering the baby sits quite high up until now. Good Luck

People noticed that about me too. You notice that the baby is sitting lower, and it starts getting a litttle more difficult and uncomfortable to bend down for things like tying your shoes. I think this happened for me a week or two before I had my baby. But you can be in certain stages of labor, and not necessarily be having your baby yet. That happened for me the week before I actually had my baby. I had signs of labor, but nothing definite until later on the next week.

You will notice the baby drop. It will relieve pressure on your lungs and increase pressure on your bladder. It may happen gradually over a few days or a week.

They baby usually drops 2 - 3 weeks before it's born.

Your baby could have "dropped" but it doesn't mean it has engaged yet. I dropped and didn't go into labor for 3 weeks with my second child.

YES YOU PROBABLY DID DROP but it could take a few days to a few weeks to go into full labor. just don't go wandering off by yourself because the baby is trying to set up for it's arrival.
