Im a senior in high school and honestly MOST teenagers my age are to imature so i chose not to befriend any of them. As a child and even now i had to be the adult in the house. So you could imagine im a pretty mature teen. My problem is i can only seem to make friends with my teachers! I get picked on for it, but it only makes me feel stronger about them being imature! What do you think about my situation? Im not a teachers pet, infact im far from it. Did anyone else have a problem similar to this one? If so did you feel akward being friends with older teachers than the other students?

i have always been that way my best friend is like 14 years older then me. i just believe some people brains grow up faster i also was friends with my teachers more then people in my class and got picked on also but i just ignored it i believe it is just being more mature and in the long run you will stay out of more trouble cause the people you are hangin with arent children and arent into trouble. i feel you though and i wouldnt let it bother you and you should feel awkward about it. its about normal i think lol

many people who are more mature than others their own age go through this but it only becomes a problem if you get into a romantic relationship with any of them. Those who pick on you for that are simply not as mature and would rather do things that your maturity make not that interesting to you!

If you are friends with your teachers, then enjoy the good grades.
Teachers are like anyone else, if you act like you care what they have to say, they will like it.(and give you good grades)
Because even if you do badly on a test, they will remember you and think you are really trying to learn.
Although they seem important now, the people you know in highschool are meaningless for the rest of your life.
One year from now you probably not remember most of them.

I even have greater acquaintances who're around a similar age. the biggest age differance between me and an older pal is purely 5 years. And the age differance between me and my youthful pal is 4 years.

you're a senior. don't worry about it. You'll meet a bunch of mature people in college. AND, it's great to friends with your proffessor.

try being friends with kids a grade younger than you or try to be friends with boys...they're easier.
