The new feeling of unity in opposition to Bush's war, I mean. It's great that people are able to reach across the aisle again--particularly when it's for something as important as stopping an unjust war.

I'm pleased, but I'm not enjoying it.

The reason for the invasion was fabricated, the idea poorly conceived and the execution was naive and deadly to our soldiers and Iraqi citizens.

Politicians should have spoken up before.

Its effects will be felt throughout the world for a long long time - long after Bush goes away.

And with words, he would try to change the true meaning, the purpose and the costly results of his misadventure.

When our leaders start to put the interests of the American Public before themselves and before the corrupting special interests and lobbyists, they will have the faith of the American People. And when the American Public starts having faith in their government leaders, they will unite. Unity brings peace, happiness, civility, and greatness to a nation... we still have a long way to go, but there are little signs and signals of wise and bright minds coming together. And that's truly a pleasing thought!

Being in opposition with ones commander in chief, the president of the USA is not unity. I agree that war is not the answer. It should be brought to a sensible end. Congress and the President should work in unity for the good of the nation.

Unity? What unity? The news is full of politicians saying whatever they think they have to say to make you believe things are now, somehow, better than they were November 1st. Wake up and smell the coffee.... they're no different... and America is, sadly, not united.

No. I really wish you young people would think a little about what you are saying. I know that it is ignorance talking but just remember you will have to live in the mess that you create in the next few years. Disagree by all means but try not to show a complete lack of understanding by being vulgar, insultive on a personal level and hateful. You folks that are slamming the USA for being in Iraq remember what you said if we do pull out with the battle not yet won. Millions will die, trully think about it.

Two aircraft carrier groups to the Persian gulf. 21,500 "officially" deployed troops to Iraq...not to mention the 55,000 marines that have been in Dubai since last fall that haven't been reported on since they were deployed. Sounds like we can unite all we want but "the Decider" has made up his mind to start WWIII in Iran.

It's about damn time. 3000+ soldiers, many more wounded, more than 500 amputees, uncounted and uncared for Iraqis, and 1.2+ trillion dollars is all that it took for the US public to waken to the nightmarish truth. And Bush wants to send more. It makes me nauseous.

Yes! This war is killing so many of our young people or maiming them both physically and emotionally for life! Plus, he still hasn't caught Bin Laden and Al Queda!
