I have a job opportunity with a great company. I can live in either Florida or Alabama. I have 3 children 6, 5 and 1. Which is better for cost of living, education and children?

I think it would depend on the area you are talking about in each state. The pan handle of florida is pretty similar to alabama, i think. Find out some more information on the areas in both states and take it from there.

They both have terrible schools. Florida is 50th and Alabama is 49th. Florida just passed some constitutional amendments to improve the schools including free schooling for 4 year olds and limiting class size. I don't know if Alabama has the same. Cost of living depends on where you are in both states.

It really depends on the town... Florida has been know to have a higher cost of living in certain areas. I think that you need to check out the towns and the websites they have either through their chamber or state website....
